This site started with a list of web addresses on a blank screen and grew into a free, hosted website with some structure. The website was started because the founder claims it was difficult to find a site where there was a compilation of useful information about HR management in Belgium.
The site doesn’t pretend to have everything but it could help anyone interested in European HR practice. The landing page has menus for administrative management, skills management, work environment and various HR-related topics. These include other website tips and worldwide HR federations.
It is Belgium-focused, particularly on the public sector, but offers relevant information for the rest of Europe and further afield. For any organisation considering moving offshore, the site is a great place to do a bit of research, with a listing of World Federation of Personnel Management Associations (WFPMA) – a global network of people management professionals made up of more than 70 national personnel associations.
Most of the information on the site is not really useful for Australian HR professionals but the site is obviously well maintained, and on a regular basis. It has lots of current information and statistics, such as European salary rates and income taxes.
