High Retention Workforce claims to be a business resource centre providing business articles on leadership, job satisfaction, customer service, retention and productivity.
However it falls well short of the mark. It should be immediately apparent to any browser that visiting this site is a mistake. If they compound the error by signing on for the free newsletters, which promises free articles, their inboxes will be bombarded by emails from Greg P. Smith, the self-styled “Captain of the Ship”, with alarming regularity.
Perhaps more aptly described as a pirate than a captain, the two things Smith’s sites all have in common is staggeringly poor design and an incessant habit of shamelessly attempting to board the browser’s ship to deliver courses, books, videos, keynote speaking, executive coaching, 360 degree feedback, employee retention strategies, awards judging, leadership training and so on and so forth. The term a mile wide and an inch deep would certainly seem to be backed up by the lack of genuine in-depth analysis of any of the articles read here.
Hopefully Smith does a better job of telling companies how to retain people than he does in retaining browsers visiting his website.
