Job ads in Australia continued their descent after registering a 1.1% monthly decline in volumes for the month of November, according to the latest data from SEEK.
Its Employment Report for the month of November also revealed a 1.8% quarterly drop and an 8.4% yearly decrease in the volume of job postings in November.
"Ad volumes have continued to decline, down another one per cent in November, but the rate of decline has slowed considerably and there have been pockets of growth over the past year in industries such as Consulting & Strategy and Real Estate & Property, among others," said Blair Chapman, SEEK Senior Economist, in a statement.
All large states reported a decrease in job ads, with Western Australia (-3.2%) and Victoria (-2.3%) seeing the biggest monthly drops.

By industry, the biggest drops in job ads were recorded in Science and Technology (-7.6%) and Engineering (-7.0%), according to the report.
The human resources and recruitment industry also logged a -1.0% decline in job ads in November.
Only five sectors reported an increase in job ads, led by Consulting and Strategy (6.7%), as well as the Call Centre and Customer Service (-3.8%).
Meanwhile, applications per job ad increased 3.4% in October, its largest increase since April, according to SEEK.
