Deal formalises the joint leadership of the past three years
Ceridian has named Leagh Turner as its new co-chief executive officer. She has been appointed to the company's board of directors effective immediately.
Turner, who has served as president and chief operating officer since 2018, will be the co-CEO with Ceridian chair David Ossip, who she will also continue reporting to.
According to Ceridian, Turner's new and expanded role will see her continuing to "fully drive the end-to-end operations and strong execution that are fundamental to Ceridian’s growth”.
Ossip, on the other hand, will "oversee key areas of growth for the business, with a primary focus on keeping Ceridian in the forefront of innovation."
He will be spending his time on product innovation and expanding the Dayforce Wallet to the extended workforce. Ossip will also be spending time with prospects and the company's customers, amid the ongoing "significant" workforce transformation in decades.
The co-CEO model formalises how Ossip and Turner have run the company in the past three years, according to Ceridian. It also structures how the pair will lead the company's long-term growth.

"We believe this is what a modern, future-focused company should look like," said Ossip in a statement. "I love our company, and I've never been more committed and excited about our future."
According to Ossip, Turner is an "incredible leader who has made profound impact helping our customers transform their organisations."
"I believe that this modern structure will make Ceridian even more relevant for our customers. Together, Leagh and I will lead Ceridian into the next wave of growth," he said.
Turner, on the other hand, said she is honoured to work with Ossip.
"Ceridian is a truly special organisation with a clear purpose, core values that guide our actions every day, and a deep commitment to our customers," she said.
"I'm honoured to join David as Co-CEO and continue our ambitious goal helping organisations and millions of people around the world navigate the new world of work."
Ceridian is a global leader in human capital management technology, with employees based in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Mauritius.
