$10k bonus for staff in 'fastest growing' firm

Educational software start-up Kami has rewarded employees with a $10,000 bonus in celebration of the company being named as the fastest-growing firm by Deloitte. In the recently released Deloitte Fast 50 Index, the Auckland-based Kami topped the list with a massive 1177% revenue growth, followed by Duco Consultancy with a 670% revenue growth, and Topham Guerin with a 557% growth.

"It's been a crazy journey from the get-go but supporting our 30 million-strong community as they keep learning, teaching, and growing through a global pandemic has made it all incredibly fulfilling," said Kami in a LinkedIn post. "We couldn't be prouder of our team and what we've built together.”

"We're proud that our hard work has put us in a position to do this for our employees," said the company.

Hengjie Wang, co-founder and chief executive, told Stuff that the bonus recognises the effort of their staff over the last 18 months - supporting teachers and students across the world.

"We wanted a way to say thank you and recognise what they have achieved," said Wang as quoted by Stuff.

The Deloitte Fast 50 index ranks New Zealand's fastest growing businesses. Eligible companies include manufacturing, technology, services, agribusiness, export, as well as consumer products and retail.
