Looking for some new additions to your bookshelf? A list of the bestselling business and management titles has just been released.
The top-selling business and management books from Dymocks over the past five years have been revealed, with Spencer Johnson’s Who Moved My Cheese? reigning supreme over all business titles, and the more recent Lean In from Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, being named the best seller of the last six months.
Stephen R. Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People was found to be the best selling management book of both the last six months and the last five years.
Sophie Higgins, national buying manager of Dymocks, said the results revealed the current trends in Australian business. The long-term bestsellers such as Who Moved My Cheese and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People indicate that Australians play it safe when it comes to career advice.
Additionally, Lean In – which deals with the struggles of rising through the ranks as a woman – demonstrates the tendency of Australians to keep up with current movements in business.
“It is interesting to see two Small Business for Dummies titles in the top 10 management bestsellers list over the last six months. The recent popularity of these books, which provide guidance on every aspect of starting and growing a business, suggests that Australia has a lot of budding entrepreneurs hungry to learn,” Higgins added.
Currently, Dymocks has 72 locally-owned and operated stores across Australia, making it the nation’s largest bookseller.
