The appointment brings "a wealth of experience and leadership"
Allianz Australia has announced a shake-up to their leadership structure, with two new Senior Management appointments – including a new Chief People Officer.
Anna Stavropoulos takes up the role, replacing Vicky Drakousis who has been appointed the new Global Chief People and Culture Officer for AZ Tech, based in Munich.
The former General Manager for Talent and Learning at the firm brings “HR leadership expertise across the financial services industry” and has “spearheaded innovative strategies in employee wellbeing, talent acquisition, and learning and development,” a statement released by the company reads.
“Anna is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and belonging, and her engaging and inclusive leadership style is widely recognized.”
Commenting on her role, Stavropoulos said, ““I have always been passionate about creating an environment where every team member feels valued, supported, and inspired to contribute their best. In this new role I am excited to continue to build a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and customer obsession that drives our collective success and strengthens our commitment to excellence."
The changes also see Julie Mitchell appointed as the new Chief General Manager Commercial at Allianz, replacing Phuong Ly who will be moving to the UK division of the company.
“Throughout my career, it has been a privilege to work closely with small and large Australian businesses, helping them to protect their most valuable assets. I am excited to expand upon this, in my new role leading the Allianz Australia Commercial team. I look forward to collaborating with insurance brokers and continuing to support Australian businesses,” Mitchell said, reacting to the news.
These changes come into effect from 1st April 2025.
