Updated: May 20, 2025
A little “xoxo” goes a long way—at least, that’s the idea behind Xoxoday. From gift cards and bonuses to engagement surveys and sales incentives, this platform promises to make recognition feel more personal.
In this Xoxoday review, we’ll go over the platform’s main features with a focus on its HR products. We’ll discuss how Xoxoday works, look at its after sales and customer support, and explore what makes it stand out. We’ll also include an anecdote on how Xoxoday got its name!
Xoxoday is a global platform that helps organizations manage rewards, incentives, and loyalty programs. It enables companies to engage employees, motivate sales teams, and retain customers by offering rewards from a catalog of over 10 million items.
This rewards software has companies in these industries as its clients:
The platform works with over 250 integrations and is available in over 175 countries. Xoxoday can be accessed online or via mobile app. Xoxoday is also one of HRD’s top employee rewards programs.
Xoxoday offers five products:
In this review, we’ll focus on three platforms that are most relevant to HR professionals: Plum, Empuls, and Compass.
Xoxoday Plum serves as an employee rewards program that businesses can easily integrate with their existing software, allowing for seamless implementation.
The platform allows for points to be shared in different ways like points, links, or codes. The points system is the most common option among employee rewards programs.
Plum offers over 10 million rewards points across categories such as:
You’ll have a variety of options when sending rewards, including email, SMS, and WhatsApp. It also allows you to create a brand experience with custom designs and messaging.
You and your team can also get reports about how the rewards program is doing. These reports can be delivered via emails or the Xoxoday Plum dashboard.
Empuls is Xoxoday’s employee engagement platform that has these features:
Empuls is backed by an AI-powered bot called Em to bridge any gaps and drive employee engagement further. Em interacts with everyone – employees, team leads, HR teams – through nudges and prompts to encourage participation.
With employee retention a priority for HR and operations, having a robust engagement program is a must.
Compass is a commission management platform that enables businesses to automate commission processing. This results in accurate and on-time payouts to compensate your sales teams.
Your payroll or sales/finance teams can manage data through over 85 integrations (e.g., CRM, HRMS, and payroll). The system automates commissions, resulting in quick, error-free calculations.
A unique feature is gamification. Compass turns the competitive and demanding nature of a sales job into something more enjoyable and rewarding.
Compass allows multi-level access, allowing different teams to tackle and address issues on a single platform:
These teams also get ROI insights via reports that show how commissions translate into revenue.
The entire Xoxoday platform offers integration with over 250 systems. Here are a few of these integrations, categorized according to Xoxoday service/offering:
The Compass platform has over 85 integrations - here are some of them:

Xoxoday offers a flexible pricing model based on what the client needs. Not all businesses will need everything that Xoxoday offers, so the platform has individual pricing for each service it provides.
We’ll go over plans and pricing information for Plum, Empuls, and Compass:
There’s no straightforward pricing structure published for Plum. What it offers is a “solution-based pricing,” which means you pay for what you need.
For the rewards point feature, which is ideal for employee rewards, you’ll pay 10 percent per reward. No other details are given, so contact the sales team or book a demo for more information.
Basic plan is $49 per month, billed yearly. The Basic plan:
The Professional and Enterprise plans come with more features, but pricing for both aren’t published. You’ll have to contact the sales team via the “book a demo” or “talk to sales” buttons.
Around $20 per user per month, minimum of 25 users. Fees are paid quarterly or yearly, and discounts apply for clients with over 200 users.
Each of the platforms has a Help Center and FAQs section on the Xoxoday website. We looked at the Plum Help Center; it is thorough and easy to read, categorized into sections and subsections. There’s a search box at the top of the page, so finding information should be quick and straightforward.
The FAQs section is also broken up per platform, with search options for topics relating to admin or user.
Xoxoday’s Support page also includes an email address if the Help Center or FAQs don’t have the answers you’re looking for. According to the Xoxoday Help Center for Plum, they respond to customer inquiries within 8 business hours.
Xoxoday customer support is available 24/7, with a 99.9 percent response time. They are also available via Whatsapp.
There are two factors that set Xoxoday apart from the competition:
This is what we mean:
Out of all the HR software we’ve reviewed, Xoxoday is the only one we’ve come across with published service level agreements (SLAs). And they are impressive: responses within 8 business hours, 99.9 percent response time.
Sharing SLAs on their website shows a great degree of accountability. It empowers the client as well; they can quote the published SLA if customer support isn’t quite up to task.
Xoxoday calls it “the world’s largest reward marketplace.” That’s probably true, as they boast over 10 million rewards in over 30 categories. For example:
These rewards also come in multiple currencies across over 100 countries. This works well if your company has offices in different countries. You can offer different items available locally from a single dashboard. This makes the process streamlined and efficient – less work and headaches for your HR admin team.

What’s the story behind the Xoxoday name? “We wanted to build a company that can bring more ‘love and affection’ between people groups,” Manoj Agarwal said in a blog post. “We wanted people to give and get more of this affection every day. So, some xoxo every day makes the whole and sole of Xoxoday.”
Xoxoday is probably one of the most expansive rewards platforms we’ve come across. There’s something for employees, sales teams, customers, and businesses. This could be an advantage and a pitfall: the platform is so comprehensive that it can be intimidating to a small business or startup.
Just the same, explore the website, book a demo session, or sign up for a free trial. Test it to see if it works for you and your organization. If Xoxoday isn’t the right fit, here are other options as far as rewards and recognition platforms go:
