Last chance! Submit your nominations for this year's Canadian HR Awards

If you haven’t already, now is the time to submit your nominations for the Canadian HR Awards, with the deadline approaching.

Now in its 11th year, the renowned industry event celebrates excellence in human resources among HR professionals, teams and employers.

The awards are a testament to the importance of HR in driving organizational success and building a competitive advantage in today’s dynamic business environment.

To take part, people can submit their nominations by June 14, 2024, for any of the 24 award categories.

Winners celebrate HR awards

Last year, hundreds were in attendance at the 10th annual Canadian HR Awards, celebrating excellence in the profession.

These included Centurion Asset Management, winner of the Canadian HR Team of the Year (finance/insurance).

Winning the award was “amazing,” said Laura Salvatore, vice president of human capital.

“When I started at Centurion over 11 years ago, we did not have any HR department, let alone a team. So to win a team award is really, really exciting… We’ve worked long and hard for this, and we have such a great group of individuals working to better the experience for our employees. So it’s really a great honour.”

Also feeling “very grateful and very humbled” at the gala event was Sarah Yusyp , director of HR at the Skyline Group of Companies, and winner of the ADP Canada Award for Rising Star of the Year.

Having worked at the real estate management company for more than eight years, Yusyp said she came into HR because she loved the combination of business and working with people.

“My hopes and aspirations for the future are just to continue to work alongside some really wonderful people that get to make a difference in employees’ professional lives and to work for companies that support growing initiatives and enriching engaged employees.”
