Allie Arebalo reported directly to CEO Elon Musk
Tesla's top human resources executive has departed the automotive firm as job cuts hit the organisation, according to reports.
Allie Arebalo was the Senior Director, North America HR, at Tesla, where she was one of the most senior women at the firm and reported directly to CEO Elon Musk.
She was at the position start in February 2023 and had worked at Tesla for over six years overall, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Bloomberg, citing two anonymous sources, reported that Arebalo had left the organisation last week. It is not clear if Arebalo resigned or if she was part of the widespread job cuts at the automotive firm.
The executive has also worked in HR at Walmart and the Walt Disney Company, according to her LinkedIn profile.
More than 6,000 Tesla employees in the states of Texas and California will be let go in June, according to the company's submissions in compliance with labour laws.
These layoffs are believed to be a part of the "more than 10%" job cuts first announced by Musk in April.
Tesla had over 140,000 employees of December 2023, according to previous reports, with the layoffs expected to impact thousands of the organisation's staff.
"There is nothing I hate more, but it must be done. This will enable us to be lean, innovative, and hungry for the next growth phase cycle," Musk previously said in a memo to employees.
