Line-up for HR Leaders’ Summit 2017 unveiled
Canada’s top HR leaders will share their expert insights with hundreds of industry professionals at the 2017 HR Leaders Summit, with details of this year’s event just announced.

The fourth annual conference, taking place at Toronto’s International Centre on November 13 and 14, features speeches from Canadian and international executives, HR specialists, and thought leaders.

Among them is David Rock, co-founder and executive director of NeuroLeadership Institute, a global research organization focused on “brain-based”, effective leadership.

The speaker line-up also includes The New Rules of Work author Kathryn Minshew, who is the CEO and founder of career platform TheMuse.com, as well as Somen Mondal, co-founder and CEO of recruiting software platform Ideal, and a past winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Other industry leaders among the speakers include KPMG’s Soula Courlas, Corus Entertainment’s Cheryl Fullerton and MaRS Discovery District’s Daneal Charney.

Conference producer Sandra Basiri, of Key Media, says attendees will gain insights into “strategic and practical HR issues that senior executives are facing across the country”.

Those include the latest technology in the HR space, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, the future of work and analytics.

“According to our research, technology and digital disruption is the number one challenge that’s keeping Canadian HR leaders awake at night,” Basiri says.

As well as hearing from experts on industry best practice and the future of HR, attendees will exchange ideas during focused workshops and knowledge-sharing luncheons.

They will also have exclusive opportunities to network with industry leaders and their peers at multiple events, as well as gaining HRPA professional development credits.
