Upcoming HR event sheds light on impending talent shortage issues in Canada
With global workforces and remote working models pretty much the norm now, employers are having to rethink and realign their hiring processes. Tech, as always, hold the answer for HR leaders.
This June, HRD will be hosting our annual HR Tech Summit Canada – an in-person, live event designed to bring together industry leaders to debate the future of digitization. The event, sponsored by Modern Hire, will help individuals stay on top of digital transformation, while discussing cutting edge tech, tools, and strategies for operational efficiency.
With speakers from the likes of McDonalds, Novartis, Dell Technologies, and Electronic Arts (EA), it’s an event not to be missed.
In his session, Matt Goff, managing director at Modern Hire, will be discussing;
- Talent acquisition professionals use data and predictive analytics to make the right hire the first time,
- Organizations can deliver personal, engaging, warm candidate experiences at scale,
- The ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) helps mitigate bias and reduces discrimination, and
- AI technology makes your recruiters’ jobs easier and delivers demonstrable bottom-line impact.
In a previous interview with HRD, Goff talked about the issues employers are having in finding quality hires – whilst keeping workers engaged post-hiring.
“Businesses have frequently lowered the bar on who they will hire, and this is now leading to lower business performance,” he told HRD. “So the big challenges in 2023 will be bringing the focus back to quality – hiring not just a warm body, but a well-qualified, top-fit candidate.
“Proactive and forward-looking businesses have a lot of great options for how to build highly effective talent acquisition operations. There has never been a better time to embrace strategic, science-driven, high tech HR tools!”
