A new magazine will arrive on the Canadian HR landscape next month, packing a pedigree of years of experience and a familiar name.
Canada’s top HR news site has an exciting new publication coming in November. Human Resources Director magazine (HRD).
The new magazine will arrive on the Canadian landscape next month, packing a pedigree of years of experience and a familiar name.
“These are exciting days here with the launch of Human Resources Director,” says Tim Duce, president and CEO of KMI Publishing and Events in Toronto. “Considering the success of HRMOnline.ca, we are moving forward to produce a magazine that will be as essential to our readers as the website has become.”
The first issue includes an exclusive interview with Richard Branson about his business vision and hiring ideology, with an investigation into how Branson’s personal ideals influence the policy and practices of Virgin Atlantic, which flies into Vancouver.
HRD will launch with a focus on HR salary trends in Canada, so readers can be certain they and their teams are being paid fairly. Other features include hiring in a tough market with Suncor Director of Talent Acquisition Michelle Dupont, and how to choose the best executive education program for your organization’s needs.
“The magazine will be a reflection of the human resources industry, of what is happening today and where the industry is headed,” says Duce. “From thought leadership such as the Branson interview, to best practice advice from some of the world’s largest companies, HRD will be a forward-thinking, aspirational addition to our publications.”
As the role of HR has evolved, HRD will reflect the new focus of HR directors - how to add value across all aspects of business operations, not just people issues. It builds on an expertise that stems from a 12-year HR presence around the world including Australia, Singapore, Canada and New Zealand.
The new magazine contains:
- Aspirational cover stories focusing on best practice
- A new global perspective from interviews with leading HR directors around the world as well as local and regional practitioners
- Business strategy content sourced from thought leaders and top business schools
- Quarterly special reports into major issues facing HR leaders today
KMI Publishing and Events boasts a family of successful products, including Canadian Real Estate Wealth and Canadian Mortgage Professional magazines. With those magazines and complementary websites, the combined potential reach in readership is almost 90,000 people.
