'We want our employees focused on supporting our customers, not worried about their own jobs'
ServiceNow announced a commitment to protecting the jobs of its 11,000-strong global workforce despite economic uncertainty amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
Bill McDermott, CEO at ServiceNow also revealed that they’ll continue to hire for new roles throughout 2020.
Additionally, the company expects to extend the same treatment for several hundred support staff and contractors who are currently not working due to office closures.
“We want our employees focused on supporting our customers, not worried about their own jobs,” said McDermott. “We are committed to no layoffs for 2020. We are continuing to hire worldwide.”

The CEO added that ServiceNow is “grateful to be in this position” and will focus on keeping the company strong throughout the crisis.
The company has also continued to hire and onboard new employees throughout the COVID‑19 pandemic. By the end of 2020, the company expects to create and fill more than 1,000 new jobs in the US and worldwide.
Due to the nature of the business, ServiceNow has been able to quickly pivot to a digital internship program, even as employees continue to work remotely.
