One worker with some unusual ink is considering legal action after being fired for his unusual tattoo.

Far out Friday: ‘ISIS’ lip tattoo costs one worker his job
One New York worker has voiced his disdain after being sacked from his job at Home Depot – for having ISIS tattooed on his inner lip.

After hearing a co-worker say the word ISIS while on shift, ex-employee Kirk Soccorso decided to reveal his tattoo – a decision which proved to be a huge mistake.

Soon after, tool-demonstrator Soccorso was shown the door – but he says the tattoo is much more innocent than everyone thinks.

“I honestly didn’t know what the acronym meant until just recently,” said Soccorso. “I overheard the world. I didn't realize.”

The disgruntled ex-employee insists his tattoo is actually a tribute to an old girlfriend – named after the Egyptian goddess of nature, Isis.

"I feel a little lost, it was a good paying job,” he said, before adding; “I want a chance for my job back."

However, a spokesman for Home Depot claimed the decision to dismiss Soccorso was not based solely on the young man’s inadvertently offensive tattoo – insisting it was actually down to a “personal issue.”

Soccorso insist the firing was unfair and is currently considering a lawsuit.
