The worker really went all out in his formal resignation
A former employee of Tesco rounded off his tenure at one of the company's stores with a formal, yet hilarious, goodbye.
In a video posted on Reddit, Joe Simpson said that he decided to go ‘all out’ when he was told to make a formal resignation after he announced his departure from the UK store.
"After telling my work that I am leaving, they said I must make a formal resignation letter. So, in response I went all out," said Joe Simpson, whose username is s1mps0n24.
The posted video showed 23-year-old Simpson donning a suit and tie while holding a walking cane and standing on a pedestal, as his brother clad in similar clothing read aloud his formal resignation for him.
"To whomever it may concern, I write this letter from a place of sorrow and regret," said his brother, who read his letter from a wax-sealed envelope.
"These six long arduous years have caused me to grow quite weary. Whilst I have revelled and laboured with my subordinates, my knees have grown weak and the grease from my elbows has depleted.
"It is not for every man to accept large packages into their backdoor. Nonetheless, it was my duty. I have wandered endless aisles, searching for sections incomplete, my gloves doth hold the sweat of many a 12-hour. But my shoulders carry the weight of the worker's burden."

Simpson also had some words to say to his colleagues.
"To Chris, you are the father I never had. To John, you recognized my true potential, a finer manager I could not request.
"My final thanks goes to Steve, the emperor of this fine establishment. You have raised the bar from your predecessor infinitely. To say his name shall be remembered is a grotesque overstatement. I finish this letter with a final thanks to my former comrades and I hereby submit my formal resignation.
"Viva La Tesco," Simpson said himself at the end.
The former Tesco employee said on video's comment section that he had a nice chat with the person he handed the letter to after the formal speech.
In a separate interview with the Mail Online, Simpson said he had to leave because he had to move to another city to go to university.
