NZ’s best workplaces revealed
IBM has announced the category winners of its 2017 Best Workplaces Awards, with organisations across almost every industry included in the esteemed list.

“[The awards] recognise excellence in employee engagement and workplace culture based on perceptions of the organisation’s own people, people who know the culture best,” said IBM talent management solutions consultant, Emma Martin.

“Earning the title ‘New Zealand’s Best Workplace’ is a great differentiator for employers aiming to attract and retain top talent,” she added.

Over 35,000 employees from 173 organisations (including 27 newcomers) were surveyed for this year’s study, making it the largest of its kind in New Zealand. The full list of winners is as follows:

“What each winner has in common is the commitment to take charge of their culture and continually listening to their people, and, most importantly, bringing their people’s ideas to life,” said Martin.

“Succeeding in these awards year after year requires true perseverance and leadership because maintaining an engaged workplace can never be taken for granted,” she continued. “We know that when companies take their foot off the pedal, engagement declines.”

The overall winner will be selected from among the Best Workplaces category winners and revealed on the 28th February.
