For the 18
th year in a row the Equal Employment Opportunities Trust is excited to see the range of entries that have come in from businesses of all shapes and sizes across New Zealand, all keen to have their workplace diversity successes recognised and celebrated as part of the Diversity Awards NZ programme.
EEO Trust Chief Executive, Bev Cassidy-Mackenzie, said that once again the number and quality of entries is a positive reflection of how the diversity landscape has changed in recent years, becoming a more accepted part of the business environment with tangible benefits.
“Not only are we delighted to share the success of this year’s call to entry in terms of the range of organisations, including a marked increase in the number of SME businesses, but also the geographical spread beyond just the main centres that we would typically see and of course the best news of all that total entrant numbers are up 37.5% from 2014.”
The EEO Trust are proud to host the annual Diversity Awards NZ with the generous support of a number of organisations who have been on their own Diversity and Inclusion journeys in recent years, including Coca-Cola Amatil NZ, Tertiary Education Commission – Skills Highway, Te Puni KÅkiri, State Services Commission, Sovereign and Vodafone NZ.
