The HRD Awards New Zealand are back for another year
Nominations are open for the 2022 HRD Awards New Zealand, calling for the industry’s leading teams and individuals.
The awards celebrate excellence in the HR industry across more than a dozen categories, and the hard-working professionals championing innovation and cutting-edge thinking. Returning for the second year, the HRD Awards New Zealand, sponsored by Employment Hero, will shine a light on the best practices, achievements and leadership of the past 12 months.
Speaking to HRD, 2021 winner Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) reflected on being named excellence awardee in the Employer of Choice >200 staff category. The company’s chief people officer, Roz Urbahn, scooped the title of NZ HR Director of the Year.
“2020 and 2021 for LIC has been some of the most testing times in its over 100-year history. Throughout all the turmoil, the P&P team have been front and centre continuing to deliver exceptional outcomes for the business, our people, shareholders and customers. This has been built on several years of continuous improvement, and a team of innovative thinkers motivated at enhancing the employee experience.
“To receive the excellence awards for HR Team of the Year, and Employer of the Year is hugely gratifying. They offer a moment of reflection, appreciation, and acknowledgement for all the amazing mahi the P&P team have achieved under some really challenging conditions.
“Topping off this year’s awards, Roz Urbahn received the ultimate accolade of being named 2021 HR Director of the Year. Not only a fitting recipient for the work she delivers, but is recognition of how she has lead the P&P team to be considered a real asset for LIC.”
