Recent cases have shed light on HR's obligations – are you up to date with the latest case law?
Several years since the enactment of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, recent cases have proven a timely reminder to HR professionals to be aware of their obligations under the Act.
Now HRD has brought together partners from New Zealand’s top workplace law firms to shed light on the areas of confusion and complexity that are proving most challenging for HR professionals.
The Employment Law Masterclass will cover implications of recent cases including WorkSafe New Zealand v Budget Plastics (New Zealand) Ltd [2017] and WorkSafe New Zealand v Wai Shing Limited [2017].
"We really want to equip HR professionals with up to date information to review HR’s obligations and look at how WorkSafe is approaching enforcement and sentencing in relation to breaches of the Act" said event organiser Sarah Holden.
Holden is urging HR professionals to book early to avoid missing out on a seat at the event.
"Following another sell-out success in Auckland last month, the Employment Law Masterclass will be held next in Wellington and Christchurch. Discounts are available for group bookings" said Holden.
