Fonterra’s Managing Director of People Culture and Services has resigned from his role effective immediately.
Fonterra has announced its Managing Director of People Culture and Services, Chris Caldwell, has resigned for personal reasons.
In a short statement, Fonterra’s CEO Theo Spierings said the company respected Caldwell’s decision and thanked him for his contribution. Spierings and the Co-operative’s Chief Financial Officer, Lukas Paravicini would assume Caldwell’s responsibilities on an interim basis effective immediately.
BusinessDesk reported that Caldwell had only been in the role for 18 months, since May last year. He was previously the organisation’s General Manager of Finance. His resignation ends five years with the company.
His exit comes as Fonterra re-groups following the unfounded contaminated food scare in August that prompted a precautionary recall which threatened the organisation’s reputation.
