'She will be the perfect fit to strengthen our company's culture and attract top talent to Brightcove'
Video platform Brightcove Inc. has tapped former CBS Interactive human resources head Trisha Stiles as its Chief People Officer (CPO), who will assume the role on August 29.
In an announcement, Stiles will lead the company's human resource strategy, including talent and performance management; spearhead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; develop competitive people practices; and reinforce the company's strategic direction and business growth.
Stiles in a statement expressed her excitement for her new role.
"Creating connectivity with employees in this new work from anywhere world is paramount to develop, grow, and build out successful diverse teams. Brightcove has cultivated a connected workforce of passionate people all over the globe who bring a diversity of strengths, ideas, and backgrounds," said the upcoming CPO.
"I'm very excited to build on the company's strong foundation to create an environment where our team members can do their best work and be their best selves."
She will be reporting to Brightcove Chief Executive Officer Marc DeBevoise, who described her as the "perfect fit" for the role.
"Trisha is a seasoned human resources executive with a deep commitment to developing inclusive, collaborative company cultures where employees are motivated to drive results and succeed," said DeBevoise in a statement.
"I've had the pleasure of working with Trisha before and know she will be the perfect fit to strengthen our company's culture and attract top talent to Brightcove."

Prior to her upcoming position, Stiles has over 20 years of experience in leading human resources for Fortune 500 companies, including Tableau, a Salesforce Business Unit, CBS Interactive, and NBC Universal.
Under Tableau, she was vice president of employee success where she oversaw the company's human resources strategy for global engineering, product, and marketing teams. She was also responsible for managing the organisation's comprehensive equality, talent attraction, and strategy to bolster growth and company performance.
Stiles also served as the head of human resources at CBS Interactive, and was responsible for organising the team that launched CBSN, CBS Sports Digital, and CBS All Access, which is now Paramount+.
With Stiles' appointment as CPO, this is Brightcove's second C-level appointment in two weeks and the third one since DeBevoise became CEO in February.
Last week, Brightcove named Dan Freund as chief revenue officer, who will begin on August 1. In June, the company also announced the appointment of David Beck as its first chief strategy and corporate development officer.
