What are some feedback strategies to drive HR innovation?

An HR leader from one of Asia's Best HR Teams has outlined ways to gather feedback and drive innovation in the HR function.

Jaclyn Lee, Certis Group's chief human resource officer, said their team uses a "comprehensive feedback mechanism" to gather feedback to assess their HR initiatives.

"Our HR team utilises a comprehensive feedback mechanism, including regular pulse surveys, open forums, employee engagement events, and fireside chats with leadership," Lee said. "This system is essential for capturing genuine employee feedback and evaluating the impact of our HR initiatives."

She made the remarks as she stressed that HR innovation is driven by a "mindset of continuous improvement and adaptability."

"We believe in embracing change as a catalyst for growth, which pushes us to explore new strategies and technologies that enhance our HR practices and overall workplace environment," Lee said.

Among the organisations HR's initiatives include integrated digital platforms, flexible work schedules, HR analytical tools, as well as AI-driven chatbots.

"Our innovative HR initiatives have led to measurable improvements in employee satisfaction and retention rates," Lee said. "These outcomes highlight the effectiveness of our approach and our dedication to not just keeping pace with HR trends but setting them."

Best HR Teams for Innovation

Certis Group's HR team was recently recognised as one of the Best HR Teams for Innovation in Asia.

Helen Coult, APAC regional president at Armstrong Craven, said this year's winners carry out innovation in a variety of ways.

Certis Group has been innovating strongly on upskilling its staff, taking advantage of HR analytics to improve their initiatives and ensuring that they meet employees' and business' needs.

"Upskilling is a key priority at the moment. People are reluctant to move jobs in these uncertain times, so if you've got a workforce, you must work with them and upskill," Coult said.
