Singaporeans say these are the 'worst culprits' behind an ineffective team
Over six in 10 (64%) Singaporean staffers said communication is the top contributing factor to an effective team.
In fact, 66% of Singaporeans would prefer to over-communicate than under-communicate, and a further 88% of them would still like to see communication increase internally.
Singaporeans find a lack of clear communication (54%) and poor leadership (52%) to be the worst culprits behind poor team performance.
When it comes to workplace communication, email was found to be the least preferred means of communication (15%), found Slack. Another 62% added they’re often copied into irrelevant emails.
Slack’s study involving 2,000 professionals across Asia Pacific found that face-to-face interactions (42%) was the most preferred method, followed by instant messaging tools like WhatsApp (20%).
In reality, face-to-face communication is currently the most utilised form of interaction at work (72%), followed by emails (63%).
