HR professionals are supposed to be the moral guardians of their organisations, but the allegation against one HR professional is putting that perception to the test.
Canadian HR consultant Ian Bush appeared in court Saturday morning to face three counts of first-degree murder in connection to a previously unsolved case from 2007.
The Ottawa man shocked the HR industry in Canada late last year when he allegedly attacked 101-year-old veteran Ernest Côté but it appears the appalling crime may not have been his worst.
Now, Bush has been linked to an infamous unsolved murder involving a retired judge, his wife and a neighbour.
Sources revealed DNA evidence had been found at the scene of the 2007 slayings of Alban Garon, Raymonde Garon and Marie-Claire Beniskos which could be linked to Bush following his cowardly attack on Côté.
The three murder victims are reported to have been found with bags over their heads – something survivor Côté said was also done to him.
59-year-old Bush was already in custody on a bevy of charges related to his December attack on veteran Côté, including attempted murder, robbery and forcible confinement.
Bush had worked in human resources with paper company Domtar in Cornwall before starting his own HR consulting firm.
