AIA Singapore creates 500 new job opportunities amid crisis

AIA Singapore has created up to 500 new career opportunities for those struggling amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

The AIA Financial Career Scheme 2020 aims to provide in-depth training and financial support for fresh graduates and mid-career switchers keen on a job in the sector.

Suitable candidates who meet the scheme’s requirements will be enrolled from September 15, 2020 to March 31, 2021.

Candidates will go through structured soft and technical skills training sessions over an initial 10-month period. This will result in industry certifications such as the Associate Financial Planner / Associate Financial Consultant certification, and the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Level 1 certification.

Individuals will also receive financial support across six allowance schemes, ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 per month. They’ll also be eligible for a bonus upon successful completion of certain training modules.

After the initial 10-month period, further training programmes will be offered over a span of two years based on individual preferences and development needs.

In addition, candidates will be assigned a mentor who will partner and guide them through the programme. AIA shared that successful individuals will also stand to secure a job with AIA Singapore or AIA Financial Advisers.
